Commercial Loan Administrator I - Builder Finance Group
The department performs the administrative function for a business that is expected to grow to $10 billion in commitments by 2010. This group is responsible for all day-to-day collateral related activity within all lending relationships. Administrative functions include, but are not limited to:
- Work with outside counsel and loan officers to document transactions according to the loan approval.
- Order and review title reports both prior to loan boarding and in some cases on subsequent draws.
- Make sure that all liens are perfected where appropriate.
- Maintain collateral documentation.
- Make sure that proper insurance in is place on all collateral.
- Coordinate with Credit Administration to make sure appraisals, cost reviews, and environmental assessments have been ordered and reviewed.
-Ensure that units added to loans are in compliance with the loan approval parameters
- Order progress inspections for subsequent draws.
- Seek loan officer approval for all disbursements with proper supporting documentation
- Fund loan transactions, both initial fundings and subsequent draws.
- Ongoing monitoring of the customer, project and market, through attention to draw requests and verbal interaction with the customer.
- Preparation of partial release documents.
- Report portfolio and individual loan status to the Production/Portfolio Group.
- Customer satisfaction follow-up.
The Commercial Loan Administrator I - Builder Finance Group is responsible for managing complex credit portfolios, under the consistent direction and supervision of a team leader. Develops relationships with customers, title companies, and appraiser and fee inspectors to close and administrate loans, while protecting the Bank's lien position.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Close and renew loans, coordinating with attorney, appraiser, Credit Administration, title company, customer and Relationship Manager to assure compliance with internal loan approvals.
- Develop customer relationships, build trust and respect assuring repeat business by timeliness, problem solving, product and market knowledge, accuracy and dedication.
- Manage relationship portfolio: new loan requests, advances, payments and fee and Letters of Credit by maximizing productivity, using technical knowledge and analytical skills, meeting or exceeding all deadlines.
- Protecting Bank?s lien position, adhering to Bank credit policies and regulatory reporting and detecting risk potential in transactions.
- Consistently supports the commitment to compliance by adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and the Countrywide Bank's policies and procedures and reporting all incidence of noncompliance to immediate manager.
- Cross train to develop new skills and provide unparalleled customer service.
A successful candidate will have:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years direct loan administration experience, preferably in Builder Finance.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills and attention to detail.
