Responsible for credit analysis and underwriting of new commercial loan requests to customers with total loan exposure greater than $500,000.
' Preparation of detailed loan write-ups and commitment letters.

' Make recommendations to approve or decline loans submitted for review. Consult with Underwriting Manager and business development personnel to offer suggestions on proper loan structuring.

' Provide an initial response to the submitting business banker within a set time period of receipt of a completed package.

' Review of real estate & equipment appraisals and environmental site assessment reports.

' Spreading of financial statements and projections.

' Work closely with management, business development officers and branch personnel to support their efforts to meet lending goals and objectives.

' Assist in training and development of underwriting staff.

' Other projects as assigned.

BS required - a major in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting preferred. Minimum of 5 years credit analysis experience. Must possess strong credit and organizational skills, meet deadlines, and good written and oral communication skills. Strong PC skills including Windows, Word and Excel. Some actual commercial lending experience and knowledge of SBA programs preferred.
