Commercial Real Estate Banker

MidCountry Bank has an opening for rounded Commercial Real Estate Banker for its Vadnais Heights office. The candidate would be a part of the Twin Cities Business Banking group but would collaborate with the company?s residential mortgage company. The ideal candidate would be experienced in all facets of commercial real estate with an emphasis on the builder/construction, land development industry. A plus would be experience with income producing property types. 

 Develop & investigate loan opportunities, attract borrowers, increase loan portfolio & improve penetration into the communities we serve through internal & external means of contact/origination.

 Review & analyze customer?s financial condition; evaluate collateral & repayment source, profitability yield analysis; & identifies & estimates risk factors through a concise underwriting process consistent with the policies & procedures established by the Board of Directors.

 Monitor existing loan portfolio through contact with customers in order to ensure complete conformity with terms of loan.

 Promotes & cross-sells other establishment products & services as appropriate to customer requirements.

 Maintains a working knowledge of all laws & regulations related to the job/area to ensure all duties & tasks performed are in compliance with legal & regulatory requirements.

 

Requires 3-5 years related experience.

 

Proven strong sales skills with the proven ability to close business; basic computer skills & good written & verbal communication skills required.  Requires knowledge & understanding of corporate & personal financial statements & tax returns & the ability to use sales skills in negotiating financial terms.

 

A minimum of a 2 year associate?s or bachelor?s degree required in the fields of Business or Finance/Accounting is necessary.  Previous related experience preferred.
