Qualifications:
You as a Business Banking Officer -CRE Specialist - will be responsible for:

Subject Matter Expert: Serve as an advisor and coach to other Business Banking Officers and Branch staff regarding the more complex Commercial Real Estate opportunities.

Sourcing Deals: Calling on prospective and existing small business customers, focusing on Investment Real Estate opportunities with a project size of up to $2 million (25% or less owner-occupied). Identify opportunities to sell entire small business and National City product set to CRE customers, making appropriate referrals as necessary.

Managing Deals: Manage each CRE deal (including work-in-process documents and any follow ups) through closing of approximately 40 deals generating $12 million in loan production. Ensure that sound underwriting principles and guidelines are applied and maintained.

Relationship Building: Identify and maintain broker and other Centers of Influence relationships important to CRE opportunities.

You and your skills - this position requires: Completion of 4 years of college resulting in a bachelor's degree or equivalent. 3-5 years of lending experience within the financial services industry working with small business owners.

Solid knowledge of commercial credit policies & practices, underwriting and accounting principles. Communicate and present effectively (both in writing and verbally) within a fast paced professional business environment. Experience in forming recommendations, solve complex issues, negotiate and positively influence others' to adopt a course of action which may be contrary to their intitial position. Ability to actively cultivate a network of relationships internally (ie. COI's) and externally (ie. Broker's) at all levels and across all functions. Ability to take a leadership role and serve as a subject matter expert regarding Commercial Real Estate deals
