As team leader of the branch team, the CBM manages the delivery of World Class Customer Service. The CBM is responsible for the administration of sales, services, operational efficiency and HR management activities to meet bank objectives in a Tier III branch. The CBM develops a culture within the branch in which quality and continuous improvement on all performance accountabilities are understood and utilized by all employees.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

? Responsible for the delivery of all Sovereign Bank products and services.

? Takes responsibility for delivering World Class Customer Service which meets and exceeds the customer?s expectations and adheres to Red Carpet Service Standards.

? Meets or exceeds assigned branch sales goals.

? Analyzes branch expenses and implements strategies to reduce overhead.

? Identifies, pursues, and services business sales within defined limits.

? Generates additional bank business through in-branch sales and phone sales.

? Sells and cross-sells to meet the needs of customers and prospects.

? Participates in branch functions and community activities to promote bank's image and growth ensuring that Sovereign Bank maintains a strong local presence.

? Directs the development and implementation and use of productive sales strategies and techniques.

? Manages, develops, directs and motivates every team member to promote and maximize sales.

? Develops a team spirit among subordinates and supervisors.

? Other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications: 

? High school diploma or equivalent; college degree and five to eight years of related consumer or business banking or retail sales management experience preferred.

? Proven track record of excellent sales management in a financial services environment with an understanding of competitor products and services.

? Ability to address groups of people in order to sell bank services; proven leadership quality with strong ability to meet branch goals.

? Ability to supervise and instruct; ability to meet deadlines; ability to function in a fast-paced and changing environment; attention to detail.

? Excellent customer interaction.

? Strong PC skills including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Internet.

? Familiarity with the respective community and commercial lending experience desirable.

? Ability to make independent decisions and utilize sound judgment.
