Purpose:

 

Provides Regulatory Compliance Support for Home Loans LOS platforms for the purpose of assuring that systemic processes and controls comply with applicable federal and state regulations.  Position will also be leveraged with other regulatory compliance functions such as Forms Management, Products support and Cross-Channel Strategic Initiatives.

 

Functions:

 

Assists in the development of system specification and controls intended to assure compliance with applicable state and regulatory requirements. Tests/validates system changes to assure code is working as intended and the end product complies with applicable laws and regulations.  As defects are identified, facilitates their resolution.

 

Serves as a back up for other department functions such as Forms Management and Products Support.

 



Desired skills and experience include:

- Knowledge of concepts, practices and compliance techniques for the financial services industry.

- Ability to understand complex legal and regulatory issues and laws.

- Understanding of methodologies for researching and analyzing compliance issues.

- Understanding of reporting requirements of various regulatory agencies.

- Bachelor's Degree is required for this position.

- 3 - 4 years of regulatory compliance experience are preferred.

- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.

- Effective oral and written communication skills.

- Professional interpersonal skills.

- Effective time management skills.

- Ability to follow broad direction with moderate supervision and report/escalate issues appropriately in a timely manner.

- High level of analytical skills and a practical understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and their application in a mortgage operating environment. 

-2-3 years knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, regulations and mortgage industry practices.

 

10% of time dedicated to travel.
