Consumer Lending Manager

Job Summary

Provide guidance and support to the Consumer and Small Business lenders in the South Florida Market.? This will be accomplished by handling loan exception overrides; developing policy guidelines specific to the local market; training the lenders; and acting as a liason with centralized underwriting; loan operations and collections in those respective areas.

Essential Job FunctionsMentor and work with Retail Management to ensure proper loan underwriting and compliance with loan policy, procedures, and regulations. Provide?override support?for lenders under the following types of?circumstances: amount exceeds lending limits, beacon score too low or debt-to-income ratio higher than normally excepted. Attend regional meetings and serve on appropriate committees in representation and support of the regional lending function effective.. Assist with the training of and development of policies and procedures for lending and lending related functions. Train branch personnel and business bankers in methods of resolving difficult loan related problems. Assist branch staff and business bankers with calling process and ?lending underwriting process.? Acts as a liaison with central underwriting.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.? Six years banking experience, four of which must be in?lending or underwriting.? Thorough knowledge of banking policies/procedures.? Experience with word processing and spreadsheet software.? Valid state driver's license, proof of insurance and available transportation.
