Contractor - Compliance Specialist

Basic Function:

Provide fee income from consumer compliance consulting and/or internal audit service; assess the compliance with federal consumer compliance regulations and/or generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls of prospective and existing TIB customers.

 

Major Duties / Responsibilities:

1.  Develop and maintain fee based customer accounts by providing superior service in a timely and professional manner.

2.  Analyze overall compliance with federal regulations and/or generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls and prepare detailed, concise reports for management use.

3.  Present conclusions and suggested recommendations in a professional manner.

4.  Present conclusions and finding in detailed, concise reports.  Provided well-defined solution or recommendations for noted violations and/or deficiencies.  Report should provide adequate information regarding exceptions to bank policies or consistent deviation from industry standards.  Prepare memorandum to the Board of Director and senior management summarizing the results of the compliance review.

5.  Provide support to both fee customers and TIB officers regarding regulatory guidelines by staying abreast of issuances and analyzing regulatory examination reports.

6.  Provide training of regulatory compliance issues via onsite and tele-conference.

7.  Perform other duties assigned by management.

 

Requirements / Desired Qualifications:

?  Four year Degree - Accounting/Finance prefer

?  Minimum 3 years consumer compliance and/or internal audit experience

?  Prefer professional certification (CRCM, CBA, CIA)

?  Good knowledge of the computer

?  Willingness to travel up to 75%

?  Regular and punctual attendance is required

?  Individual should possess good interpersonal skills.

?  Individual should be able to work within a team environment.

?  Ability to communicate effectively
