Credit Analyst I
Job Title : Credit Analyst I Department: Credit Operations
Reports To: Banking Officer
Summary: Supports the lending staff in underwriting Commercial Loans. Organizes and analyzes financial data to estimate degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to firms or individuals by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Spread financial data
? Prepare written risk assessment reports
? Analyze complex business entities and complex accounting issues
? Assist lenders with customer meetings
? Studies economic trends in firm's industry or branch of industry to predict probable success of new customer
Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisory responsibility

Qualifications: Strong communication and organizational skills. Prefer experience within consumer banking line of business. Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic understanding of a balance sheet, income statements, and tax return. Knowledge of basic accounting principals.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Exceptional reasoning ability and common sense.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Windows 5.0 Microsoft excel, Word and Outlook.
