Credit Analyst II

POSITION SUMMARY: Develops and analyzes all types of credit information pertaining to diverse types of loans. Prepares and occasionally presents credit reports to loan officers or committees; maintains control over credit standings of current accounts and furnishes information relative to credit inquiries. Individual will also provide assistance to loan officers or the Credit Manager as requested.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDevelops credit information for use by lending officers or committees in the making of lending decisions on new, renewal and extension loans. Reviews all pertinent credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, other companies, main office files and branches. Determines the need for more thorough investigation or additional information. Analyzes information statements and related material. Prepares summary, presents facts and offers recommendations concerning credit-worthiness. Maintains control over current accounts, noting payment progress, watching for any developing problems and keeping loan officers informed. Provides credit information and references for customers, loan officers or other agencies, as requested. Ensures that all credit files are kept current with latest financial statements, agency reports, etc. Determines whether credit attributes fall within guideline parameters of loan policy. Ensures the contact of all available sources of information. Maintains confidentiality in accordance with the Code of Professional Responsibility. Consistently meets performance standards as defined through the SkyTrek sales and service process. Assembles all pertinent information and reports. Assists in the training of less-experienced department personnel.Exercise good judgment and decision making. Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned.   EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience in a bank?s Commercial Credit Department is required. 2-4 years credit/banking experience. Independent decision-making ability. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong organization skills.
