Credit Union Teller

Job Description:

Great American Credit Union, headquartered in San Diego, CA, is looking for two experienced, enthusiastic member service representatives. One position is full-time (Monday - Friday) for our Hillcrest branch. The other position is part or full-time, Monday - Friday, with an occasional Saturday for our beautiful, growing Poway branch.

 

Job Purpose:

Serves members by completing account transactions.



Duties:

* Provides account services to members by receiving deposits and loan payments; cashing checks; issuing savings withdrawals; recording mail deposits; selling cashier's checks, traveler's checks; answering questions in person or on telephone; referring to other credit union services.

 

* Records transactions by logging cashier's checks, traveler's checks, and other special services; preparing currency transaction and suspicious activity reports.



* Cross-sells credit union products by answering inquiries; informing customers of new services and product promotions; and ascertaining members' needs.

 

* Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions; counting and packaging currency and coins; reconciling loan coupons and other transactions; maintaining supply of cash and currency.

 

* Complies with credit union operations, compliance and security procedures.

 

* Maintains customer confidence and protects credit union operations by keeping information confidential.



* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Experience:

Minimum one year in a full-service financial institution. Symitar knowledge helpful.
