Customer Service Telephone & Online Banking Specialist

Serve as primary contact for customers contacting HomeStreet Bank?s Customer Service Center via phone or email. Provide exceptional customer service in assisting customers with questions regarding retail deposit accounts and Online Banking.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide exceptional service by being professional, efficient, and projecting a positive attitude. Able to deal with difficult customers.

Must possess the ability to deliver world class customer service to deliver on HomeStreet's customer Promise.

Maintain effective communications and positive working relationships with supervisors and co-workers.

Assist customers with retail bank product questions and online banking questions (personal and business).

Support banking branches with online banking policy, processes, and issues.

Work with highly confidential information and maintain accurate records.

Understand and maintain a thorough knowledge of HomeStreet Bank policies and procedures and a general understanding of federal and state regulations which govern institutions.

Process teller functions including telephone transfers, certificate of deposit renewals, and wire transfers. (No cash handling.)

Work independently and make independent decisions within bank policy and procedures.

Accurate and timely processing of assigned tasks

Cross-sell HomeStreet Bank products and services.

Assist with special projects.

Minimum one year experience in a banking call center environment preferred. One year bank teller and/or new accounts experience acceptable. High school diploma or GED required.

One year experience with PCs.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Demonstrate the desire and ability to work as part of a team and with people of diverse backgrounds. Able to work cooperatively with and maintain effective communication and working relationships with co-workers and manager.

Possess good judgment, ability to accept responsibility, and handle confidential information

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and work under pressure.

Ability to accept and facilitate change, caused by customer demand, company needs or regulatory requirements.

Regular and punctual attendance required.
