Title: Data Analyst

Location: Chicago Loop-Financial District

 

The Data Analysts are a critical component in Data Maintenance: Keepers of the Data? New Security setups, Research, Report generation and dissemination, troubleshooting and coordination among other IT entities are just a few of the critical duties needed in this role.

 

Data Analysts TasksManually setup entities (i.e. accounts)Upload multiple entities (through CSV/Message Center interface)create and maintain entity listscreate and maintain entity compositescreate and maintain tax rate tables for entitiesAdd/Change brokersAdd/Change custodiansAdd/Change security pricesManually set up securitiesMonitor trade streams in Message CenterAdding a factor to an asset-backed securityAdding a variable coupon rate to a fixed income securityResearching and resolving some security setup issues like Last Coupon Dates, accruals, margin calculations, pricing, etc.Researching and resolving missing or erroneous prices (use Bloomberg, Reuters, AIP, interface with traders and portfolio managers)Researching and resolving data discrepancies between systems Creating or modifying STAR report profilesCreating or modifying report schedulesMaintaining code tables and code dictionariesMiscellaneous troubleshooting of processes and training of end-users

 

Qualifications:

College degree?ie Finance, Economic, Accounting or equivalent experience,

Skills required:  Microsoft Office, Windows PC,

Knowledge of Eagle Account Software System (a plus)
Security Industry knowledge? Fixed Income or Equities (a plus)
