Deposit Operations Manager

 Currently, First Southern Bank is seeking a dynamic Deposit Operations Manager. This talented banking individual must possess the following experience: 

 

Major Duties & Key Areas of Responsibility and Authority

 

?  Supervises the daily activity in Deposit Operations (i.e., wire transfers, incoming and outgoing returns, fed adjustments, subpoena research, ACH processing, and various bookkeeping functions), monitors the workflow and is responsible for employee compliance with established operational policies and procedures. 

?  Monitor and assign job functions to ensure efficient work flow and minimize overtime

?  Ensure Deposit Operations employees are crossed trained to assist in other operational functions as needed.

?  Review reconcilements performed in areas of responsibility and report stale outstanding items to the Branch Operations SVP

?  Monitor department volumes.

?  The employee is expected to be knowledgeable of and comply with all internal policies, procedures and banking regulations that apply to them or their position.

?  Identify and assist with branch operational training as needed

?  Assist with special projects as needed

Specific Skills and Requirements

 

?  Experience ? Over five years previous banking operations and supervisory experience

?  Skills - Strong organizational and communications skills.  Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with employees and Bank management

?  Ability to complete assignments with little oversight and supervision

?  Able to multi-task in a face paced environment
