Due to this tremendous growth, our organization is positioned to seek an Executive who  will assume and own the critical position of Director of Retail Collections. This is a rare opportunity for the right individual to join our organization and make a significant impact as it relates to the overall coordination of retail collection activities for the company.Position Requirements

Sky is looking for the right person to improve our collections strategies and processes and to gain synergies from the distribution of our labor across multiple collections teams. Opportunities to streamline procedures such as our litigation process will provide great opportunities to achieve success and recognition within the company. The ideal candidate brings a best-in-class skill set, experience and attributes which span the following:

COLLECTIONS KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE:A solid understanding of collections/recovery strategies and processes. Prior experience in creating strategies and gaining synergies through streamlining processes as well as a current knowledge of systems and practices within the industry. Responsible for budgeting for the collections function. Preference will be given to those with experience in all four primary retail collections / recovery functions: consumer loan collections, mortgage collections, DDA collections, and recovery. The successful candidate must be a seasoned, high-powered leader who can serve as the primary point of management contact as well as monitor and coach his teams to achieve its goals. With years of experience from which to draw, Sky will look forward to the invigorating, fresh perspective and thinking the ideal candidate will bring to the organization.


SUPERVISORY AND TEAM MANAGEMENT SKILLS:Sky recognizes the importance of infusing talent into our organization, and values the knowledge our talent brings to both the corporation and our clients. In order to do this effectively as Director of Retail Collections, people and team management skills are a must- the person we select will supervise a team of 85+ collection associates and supervisors and four direct reports. This position will be given to a strong leader with a track record of motivating others. The Director of Retail Collections is a strategic position, pivotal to keeping Sky on its charted course in order to attain or exceed our business targets. This position reports directly to Sky Financial Group?s Chief Credit Officer, who reports directly to Sky Financial?s CEO.
