PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:  AAAM seeks an analyst to work in a team atmosphere that rewards long-range perspective, encourages new ideas and values the analyst?s significant input into decisions regarding our large and mid cap growth portfolios.  Responsibilities include making buy/sell recommendations based upon in-depth bottom-up fundamental research, including in-depth research and analysis of the company, its competitors and customers, and its industry.  This includes meetings with managements and analysis of company reports, financial statements, and industry data.  The analyst is also responsible for regular reviews of current holdings for the Investment Committee, providing analytical support to mutual fund and institutional portfolio managers, and preparing various reports, duties and projects, as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  As this is a mid-level position, we are looking for 3-8 years experience in equity research, in addition to a Bachelor?s degree ? an MBA and/or CFA preferred.  Ideal candidates will have a track record of buy-side recommendations and also possess strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.  Experience covering the industrial sector is highly desirable, but our first priority is finding the best analyst that wishes to cover the industrial sector, as well as the energy and materials sectors.
