Finance Effectiveness Director

Job Description -- Our Financial Services Performance Improvement Practice is seeking a Director to join our growing practice in delivering quality consulting services to our banking and financial services clients in the San Francisco market. In this position, you will be responsible for selling and leading performance improvement and other consulting projects at key financial services clients.

You must have significant experience (10 to 12 years) providing consulting services to banks and other financial services institutions. You should have a deep knowledge of leading practices in banking operations and current work citations demonstrating strong value add and benefits delivery to clients. You must bring hands-on consulting experience in the areas of operational process redesign and reengineering, cost reduction, revenue enhancement, customer relationship management, operational simplification initiatives, change management, organizational redesign and/or benchmarking. You should be able to lead PwC and client teams in medium- and large-scale consulting engagements to assist clients in implementing their business strategies. Specific skill sets include the ability to identify, obtain and process critical data and challenge the "status quo" through unique and innovative thought leadership. You must be able to develop a business vision and lead implementation efforts. Extensive project management experience is also required, including project staffing, budgeting, planning, status updating and reporting.

Demonstrated success in managing and penetrating key accounts, as well as establishing and growing new account relationships is required. You must possess and utilize strong business development skills to identify opportunities, develop proposals and close and deliver engagements in the continuing effort to grow and develop the practice. Experience and confidence in selling into C-level executives and business unit managers is required.

Communication skills are critical, including the ability to organize and present thoughts clearly and concisely (oral and written) into well constructed, easy to understand and meaningful reports, proposals, presentations and other communications.

You should be self-motivated, energetic, confident, thoughtful and respectful. You should be capable of independent work efforts, as well as leading and working effectively within PwC and client teams. Mentoring and development of staff team is required.

These projects are focused on helping CFOs develop leading finance capabilities and create value for their companies.

You must have significant experience (10 to 12 years) providing consulting services to finance functions at banks and other financial services institutions. You should have a deep knowledge of leading practices across the finance function and current work citations demonstrating strong value add and benefits delivery to clients.

You must bring hands-on consulting experience in the areas of financial analysis, operations, controls and performance, including:

?10-12 years consulting experience in the banking/financial services industry
?Prior experience with a major consulting firm preferred
?Deep knowledge of banking operations
?Demonstrated business development skills and experience building a consulting practice, including a strong contact network in the banking and financial services industry at the executive level
?Strong written and verbal communication skills (including presentation skills)
?Ability to travel 50%+ on an annual basis, including longer-term out-of-town project assignments (3-6 months)
?Demonstrated leadership skills
?Ability to develop, mentor and evaluate staff
