Helpdesk/PC Network/Support Technician

We are looking for a Helpdesk/PC Network Support Tech.  Responsibilities include providing hardware and software support to end users as well as computer operation and light administrative duties.

 

Successful applicant should be within driving distance of 115 Gateway Drive, Macon, Georgia.

NO relocation reimbursement available.

 

Helpdesk duties:

?  First point of contact for telephone calls, email and personal requests for technical support.

?  Identify, research and resolve technical problems within abilities. 

?  Tracks and monitors support issues to insure a timely resolution. 

?  Verifies that all issues are resolved to the end user?s satisfaction.

PC Support duties:

? Keep all PC?s functioning properly to minimize down time and user interruption where possible.

? Assist Operations Supervisor in rotation of server backups and review server performance; keeping correct and complete backup logs.

? Insure that only approved software has been installed and that such software is in good working order.

? Keep and maintain an inventory of all PCs operated by the company, their H/W and S/W configurations.

? Insure that all company PC?s have current software i.e. anti-virus, windows, etc.

Education and Training:

? Technical Certifications and/or college a plus

? Two to four years experience in a related field i.e. help desk, PC troubleshooting, network administration. 

Technical requirements:

? Must have good organizational skills.

? Must have good written and verbal communication skills.

? Must be skilled in the use of MS-Office. 

? Must have basic PC hardware and software knowledge. 

? Must be able to install windows operating system on a PC.

? Should have fundamental understanding of networks and related protocols.
