IT Subject Matter Expert

Position Responsibilities
? Technical Responsibilities
o Develop and customize imaging and document management applications.
o Write design specifications to meet business goals and project plans.
o Manage product development within team?s programming guidelines and standards.
o Support imaging and document management applications.
o Monitor system performance and usage for capacity planning.
o Provide after hours system support.
o Provide technical training to user community and other technical support personnel.
o Provide advanced technical support to other imaging development personnel.
? Business Responsibilities
o Provide consultative assistance to business units looking to streamline antiquated paper-based processes.
o Work with technical project managers to provide project timelines and finalize business rules.
o Perform all responsibilities within the guidelines of Flagstar and Information Services policies and directives at or above Flagstar?s performance and evaluation standards.
o Document technical information or develop training material.
? Leadership Responsibilities & Position Complexity
o Very strong independent thinking is required and the analyst will apply his or her own judgment within set limits.
o This position will provide supervision and significant guidance to other Flagstar Bank employees.
o This position receives minimal direct guidance & supervision.
o Cultivate strong relationships with internal customer base, vendors, and other internal technical support personnel to provide strong support services.
o Provide strong leadership and mentoring to less experienced team members.

Qualifications:

? Education & Experience
o BS or BA degree in computer science, mathematics, business administration or related field, or equivalent experience.  Masters degree a plus.
o Mortgage or banking industry experience.
o Seven+ years software development experience.
o Five+ years web application development experience.
o Three+ years project or development management experience.
o Significant development experience using FileNET Panagon API?s and toolkits.
o Certified Document Imaging Architech.
? Business Prerequisites
o Strong writing skills.
o Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
o Strong time management skills.
? Technical Prerequisites
o Strong knowledge of software engineering practices, procedures, and development lifecycles.
o Fluency with development on AIX, Solaris, or Windows server platforms.
o Strong development skill in Microsoft Visual Basic, Java, COM, ASP, Visual C++, XML, and XSLT.
o Expertise in document management applications including FileNET Panagon product suite, Kofax Ascent Capture.  Strong proficiency in FileNET programming interfaces and toolkits.
o Knowledge of enterprise Java development is expected.
o Strong knowledge of SQL Server or Oracle and ODBC required.
o Proficiency using Microsoft development tools, ActiveX components, OLE, and DDE.
o Skill in writing system design specifications.
