In Store Banker
As an In Store Banker with U.S. Bank, you will: Be responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service in accordance with the U.S. Bank Service Advantage Core Values. Be accountable for sales and service activities for in-store branch locations. Proactively seek new customers through in-store marketing and in-aisle prospecting. Open accounts, handle teller transactions, sell/cross-sells bank products and services, and resolve complex customer service issues. Refer customers to other areas of U.S. Bank as appropriate. Convert service opportunities into sales events. Understand and effectively apply selling techniques to open, develop, and close sales; creates product interest; actively cross-sells products/services; actively pursues potential customers. Employ a variety of techniques to develop new sales opportunities within the store environment, including (but not limited to) public address announcements and in-aisle marketing. Identify customer?s financial needs through direct sales efforts, in-aisle time, referrals, teleconsulting, mail solicitation, and in store marketing, while providing strong product knowledge and quality customer service in order to achieve all individually assigned sales goals. Display knowledge and proficiency in explaining, selling, and administering products; refer customers to appropriate resources within the organization. Maintain a working knowledge of all laws and regulations related to the job/area which ensures all duties and tasks performed are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and Bank policy and procedure. Respond to customer needs and priorities; establish effective working relationships with customers; identify and take appropriate action on customer needs. Maintain working knowledge of teller and platform functions including but not limited to processing transactions, balancing cash, opening accounts and in-aisle sales techniques. Open/close accounts, handle deposits, withdrawal and transfer between accounts. Perform other duties as assigned, as required by business needs. Actively ensure compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures. Actively participate in any required corporate and business line training in these areas. Follow account opening procedures and understand and follow internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position. Actively work with customers to understand each customer's normal account activity, as appropriate for this position. While we expect that you?ll possess a strong basic skill set, including excellent communication and people skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team or independently, we also require: A demonstration of a proven commitment to provide excellent customer service and models skills consistent with U.S. Bank Service Advantage Core Values. Knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation and systems. Comprehensive knowledge of all retail products and services. Effective interpersonal/customer service skills, selling, cross selling and referral skills. Strong mathematical, problem solving and negotiation skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. A High School Diploma or equivalent is common. A minimum of one year of job-related experience including sales and/or cash handling is common.
