The Investor Services Specialist has direct responsibility in providing Investor Servicing to a number of Alternative Fund Services Group's most significant clients.  Responsibilities will include ensuring all deliverables are met on a prompt and accurate basis.  It is essential that the Specialist possesses the commitment to provide clients with a high level of professional service.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

? Monitoring and ensuring accurate processing and reporting of investor transactions for a portfolio of client accounts including, but not limited to, subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and name changes.

? Assisting the Senior Specialist by liaising with investors and clients to monitor trade completion as efficiently as possible including Anti-Money Laundering checks, checks for cleared funds and making redemption payments.

? Investigating and resolving customer, investor and internal queries efficiently and on a timely basis.

? Reviewing the Share Register Database to ensure that all activity is completed in an accurate and timely manner and that all outstanding items are reconciled.

? Reconciliation of Investor record keeping system with the applicable portfolio valuations, financial statements, and maintenance of the underlying accounting records for assigned funds (including domestic, offshore, mutual funds, hedge funds, partnerships, etc). This includes an understanding of the Accounting and Valuation system.

? Ensuring confirmations, statements and other communications are sent to investors and clients according to schedules.

? Assist the external auditors to ensure the audit function is executed in a timely and efficient manner.

? Supporting the divisional new business goals by maintaining and developing long-term relationships with clients.

? Keeping informed of new developments, policies and laws concerning mutual funds, unit trusts, management companies, hedge funds and limited partnerships on a multi-jurisdictional and global market basis.

Requirements:

? Minimum Education: A college degree or other qualifications relevant to the investment industry.

? Minimum Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience.  Experience working with hedge funds or knowledge of offshore investor servicing a strong plus.

? Basic knowledge in mutual funds, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.  Proficiency in Microsoft Word and EXCEL essential.

? Excellent oral and written communication skills.

? Highly developed listening and interpersonal skills.

? Meticulous eye for accuracy and detail.

? Ability to set, organize and meet priorities.

? Ability to perform in a multi-faceted role requiring a high caliber of numeracy and initiative.

? Knowledge in Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds, Investor Servicing, Customer Service / Customer Relations.
