SUMMARY OF ROLE

 

The candidate?s main responsibilities include:

 Collaborate in the design and build a middle-tier application to serve as the business component for a retail desk application.Collaborate in the design and implementation of communication layer between presentation and middle-tier components and between middle-tier and backend systemCollaborate in the design and implementation of presentation layer.Design, develop and test highly scalable Java based applications and components against the J2EE specification.Provide technical support, ranging from system walkthroughs to tactical development, for in-house built and third party sourced systems.

 

Because the position will encompass the use of and interface with different technologies and products, the candidate must be an experienced team lead, quick learner and a good team player.

 SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

Mandatory Skills:5+ years experience in programming J2EE8+ years designing and building high-performance high-transactional multi-threaded distributed applications8+ years in applications development with modern OO languagesExperience in Software Development Life Cycle methodologies. Working knowledge of multi-tier line of business applicationsAbility to design and write code to meet user requirements without heavy supervisionKnowledge of financial tradingKnowledge of design artifacts, including class, sequence, and component diagramsStrong working knowledge in J2EE, EJB, JSP, XML, DHTML, Struts, Messaging and Web Services.Strong working knowledge with relational databases ? preferably Oracle.Authentication and authorization conceptsExperience with WebLogic Application ServerKnowledge of SQLGood communication ability, analytical skills and a highly professional attitude are essential, as there will be substantial business contact with end-users on the Trading Floor and in the Operations area.

 

 Nice to have:Knowledge of messaging infrastructureExperience with bond trading.Experience with .Net.Knowledge of AJAX, JSF.Experience with TIBCO
