Loan Administrator IV

The Loan Administrator IV is directly responsible for confirming that loans handled by Loan Administration are closed in compliance with the credit approval authority and that all documents required by the Bank have been received after funding has been received and properly recorded.? The Loan Administrator IV also assists the Loan Officers by establishing critical dates so that the Officers receive all documents and information in a timely manner, as required in the Loan documents.?

REGULAR DUTIES:
? To ensure that loans and renewals are closed in compliance with the Bank's loan policy and in compliance with any other requirements designated by the credit approval authority.
? To support loan officers by communicating with customers, attorneys appraisers, insurance agents, etc.? to coordinate the details of loan closings.
? To accurately generate clear basic Laser Pro Documents in an efficient manner.
? To identify and clear all Collateral Exceptions within the appropriate time periods.
? To ensure that the designated loan officers' portfolio is free of delinquencies at the end of each month.
? To continuously monitor assigned accounts to ensure that any information required is current.
? To review loan documents drafted by outside counsel, for small commercial loans, to ensure that the documents satisfy the requirements of the appropriate credit approval authority.
? To review consumer loan files and small/medium commercial loan files to identify any existing collateral defects.
? To review collateral files for small criticized loans less than $250,000, handled by the Special Assets/Louisiana Department.
? To achieve additional expertise on Laser Pro, sot that the Loan Administrator II can adapt Laser Pro documents to more complex commercial transactions.
? To independently and accurately create documentation to close commercial real estate loans and all consumer loans without the assistance of counsel.
? To accurately and independently handle the recordation of the bank's liens for loans closed without counsel.
? To attend and/or conduct loan closings for consumer loans and small commercial loans, as requested by the loan officers.
? To ensure timely reinscription of the Bank's security interests so as to provide continual perfection of the Bank's collateral.
? To independently and accurately create documentation needed to renew any criticized loans, of $250,000 or less, being handled by the Specialized Assets/Louisiana Department.


Required Skills:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
? College Degree or equivalent education and/or work experience.
? 4 years directly applicable banking experience with responsibility for commercial and consumer loan documentation and/or 3 years experience as a paralegal for a law firm or a title company.?
OR
? 2 to 3 years experience with the bank as a Commercial Loan Administrator III with at least 2 consecutive "consistently meets requirements" performance reviews.

REQUIRED SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
? Understanding of PC based word processing and spreadsheet software.
? Familiar with the principles governing loan documentation in accordance with the Bank's loan policies and procedures.
? Basic understanding of Bank policies, procedures and practices when granting loans to borrowers.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
? Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
? Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform the essential job functions.
? Ability to read and interpret a document.
? Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.? If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence, omitting lifting as a physical requirement.
