We are looking for a Loan Administrator/RE Closer to join our Construction Lending team in Miami, FL. In this position you'll be responsible for:
Research, investigate and resolve customer discrepancies, complaints and payments. Acting as liaison between departments to assist customers in opening new accounts, reconciliation of their accounts, and account transfers, wire transfer requests, loan draws and pay downs. Assist the relationship officers in building effective relationships and trust with clients and/or potential clients by listening to and uncovering their needs and educating them about the bank products and services that are most appropriate for their situation. Maintain accurate contact list of external/internal customers, business organizations and manage relationship with third party servicers. May accompany Officer on visit with clients to establish rapport and understand clients business and commercial relationship with the bank. Coordinate request of appraisals, appraisal reviews, environmental report, cost and plan reviews and flood determination and its follow up for timely receipt. Coordinate loan closings for commercial real estate loans amongst officer, customer and attorneys. Review of new loan files to ensure receipt of required pre-closing documentation and completing any applicable checklist for post-closing tracking. Create and maintain credit and legal document files for closed and booked loans. Coordinate and request the disbursement of funds on new loan transactions. Assist in the tracking and clearing of exceptions and covenant compliance. Understand and adhere to general bank regulatory procedures including BSA/AML as it pertains to "know your customer". Ensure that required equipment and materials are available, appropriately located, and working to properly ensure efficiency of group; including assistance in administrative issues related to purchasing supplies, personnel, facilities and operations. To join our team, you'll need: High School Diploma with some college preferred with three to five years of commercial banking administrative support experience. Ability to use various interpersonal styles and communication methods, depending on customer and situation. Effective organizational, oral and written skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and contacts with professional and business organizations and develop teamwork with officers, employees and external contacts. Effective customer service ability. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work are completed efficiently and within established timeframes. Proficient knowledge of standard office equipment including PC skills and Microsoft products, Work & Excel. Good understanding of loan processing and collateral requirements with exposure to commercial, industrial, income property and real estate documentation. Knowledge of regulatory requirements as it relates to lending and documentation issues. (i.e. appraisal standards, flood insurance, KYC, BSA, etc.) Knowledge of real estate terminology relating to commercial real estate lending concepts, procedures and documentation. Knowledge of banking products related to depository accounts.
