Our client, Citibank, is looking to hire a Senior Loan Documentation Specialist on a direct, full-time basis, and they have asked us to help them find the very best candidates possible. This position is located in Irvine, CA. A detailed description of the position is listed below.

Senior Loan Documentation Specialist (Commercial Lending)

Purpose of the Position:
The purpose of this position is to document and close complex commercial loan transactions.

Primary Responsibilities:
? Document complex commercial transactions, i.e. real estate secured transactions.
? Order due diligence items, i.e. UCC searches, Title commitments, Appraisals, environments, flood certificates, certificates of good standing (as required)
? Conduct due diligence such as review of entity documents, UCC pre-searches, title commitments, purchase contracts, etc.
? Prepare loan documents such as the loan agreement, promissory notes, deeds of trust, security agreement and collateral documents such as UCCs and mortgages pursuant to the Credit Approval.
? Review and confirm lease chains on leasehold transactions.
? Draft language for legal and credit review.
? Resolve Title issues with Title Agents.
? Resolve issues to ensure perfection of the bank?s security position.
? Ability to prioritize work and work within restricted, often impacted time frames that fall outside the normal parameters for completing documentation and executing closing.
? Manage a high volume of deals
? Ability to make prompt decisions including prompt responses to Credit Officers and customer related documentation issues.
? Coordinate closings of escrow with escrow companies, outside counsel, etc.
? Manage all aspects of closing transactions.
? Ensure the documentation and funding process is properly coordinated to ensure that documentation and funding timeframes are met and that all the required documentation is in place.
? Ensure that documentation fees are collected or properly waived.
? Suggest process improvements.
? Follow up on ticket/exemption documents.
? Review UCCs and UCC Continuations to ensure compliance to RA9.
? Conduct audits, self-audits and special projects, as needed.
? Follow all processes/procedures that adhere to bank policy, laws and federal regulations.

Relationships:
The candidate that fills this position will work very closely with the following internal departments: Funding, Operations, Credit, Marketing, Compliance, etc.
They will also work closely with the following external people and partners: Customers, Title companies, legal counsel, and other outside vendors.

Education/Experience/Skills:
? Candidates who possess a Bachelor?s Degree will be given preference.
? We are seeking candidates that have 4-6 years of related experience.
? Candidates must have the ability to present ideas in writing in a clear and effective manner.
? Candidates must possess a strong working knowledge of Windows, MS Word and Excel, including knowledge of how to work with ?Macros? in MS Word.
