Loan Officer/Member Service Rep- Gonzales

Dow Louisiana Federal Credit Union is currently hiring for the position of Loan Officer/Member Service Representative.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

(includes but not limited to)

-Processes and underwrites all loan request and completes corresponding paperwork.

-Reviews credit reports and makes appropriate lending decisions based on credit usage.

-Recommends alternatives for members not qualifying for loans.

-Cross sells products to Credit Union members by explaining various services available and assists members in selecting these services.

-Opens and set up new accounts. Verifies and processes alternatives to existing deposit accounts.

-Assists members to defuse problem situations in a productive way, along with following-through to ensure the issue has been satisfactorily resolved.

-Provides assistance to members in understanding statements, perform interest calculations and resolve statement related issues.

-Provides financial counseling to members.

-Ensures exceptional member service is carried out.



QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma

Some college coursework completed preferred.

Two to three (2- 3) years of previous lending experience

Able to analyze credit reports to establish credit worthiness of borrowers

Proven sales ability

Team player

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Self directed and self motivated

Excellent customer/member service skills
