JOB FUNCTION:
Responsible for selling and outbound telephone sales of particular/assigned Merchant Services products.? The incumbent is responsible for knowledge of all HMS and HNB accounts and services offered to existing and potential customers.? Communicates both verbally and in writing with other departments within and outside the division and customers on account related matters.? Assists in opening new accounts by processing proper account documentation.

REGULAR DUTIES:
?Responsible for inbound/outbound telephone sales of Merchant Services and other bank related products.
?Meet established goals in regard to monthly sales and budget guidelines.
?Works with Merchant Advisors in a teamwork related approach with the goal of increasing closure rates of bank and non-bank related referrals and leads.
?Responsible for self generated leads and appointment setting.
?Other job related duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
?College Degree preferred however High School Diploma acceptable.
?2-3 years of Sales Experience including outside or phone sales.
?2-3 years of heavy customer contact environment.
?1-2 years of retail banking or equivalent experience.
?Merchant Services experience preferred.

REQUIRED SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
?Understanding of consumer and business banking products.
?Understanding of Sales processes and techniques.
?Understanding of computers and software and how to use them in a sales process.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
?Ability to effectively communicate to customers over the phone as well as in writing.? Incumbent must be well organized and manage time well.? This position requires attention to details.
?Incumbent should be independent, self motivated, goal oriented and outgoing.
?Should possess excellent customer service skills and very good business development/sales skills.
?Strong computer skills with specific knowledge of MS Office products including Ms Word, MS Excel, and MS Access.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
?Ability to work under severe stress and meet deadlines.
?Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform the essential job functions.
?Ability to read and interpret a document.
?Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.? If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence, omitting lifting as a physical requirement.
