We are currently seeking a Mortgage Underwriter in Boise for a leading community banking institution that has been rated among the top performing banks in the US by the Independent Community Bankers of America and US Banker Magazine and is included in the Top 100 Companies to Work for in the state!

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Mortgage Underwriter will assist the mortgage division by accurately underwriting loans. Additionally, this position is expected to provide high quality customer service while attaining Company lending objectives.



 

REQUIREMENTS:
 
3-5 years or more underwriting experience.
Thorough knowledge of FannieMae, FreddieMac, FHA, and VA requirements.
Must be fully acquainted with all types of mortgages and possess a thorough understanding of secondary market requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with other employees in problem solving.
Advanced accounting skills with mathematical aptitude and computer spreadsheet skills.
Demonstrated analytical, organizational and documentation skills.
Must be proficient in the use of personal computer systems, internet applications and electronic mail, and various windows based software applications to include, but not limited to, banking application software, word processing, and spreadsheet software, as essential to the requirements of this position.
High School Graduate or Equivalent
