Description:

Primarily responsible for retaining and expanding customer relationships and solicits new retail business from existing and prospective customers by offering bank products and services while maintaining service standards and transaction responsibilities.  The individual will also be responsible for performing routine teller transactions such as receipt, disbursement and recording of monies.

 

Skills:

Thorough knowledge of bank operations and financial institution products and services

General knowledge of consumer lending and regulatory requirements

Basic math skills; ability to count and make accurate change transactions

Working knowledge of PC; good 10 key skills

Knowledge of bank operations

 

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of an Associate?s Degree in a business related field or 1-3 years equivalent experience in teller operations.

 

Job Function:

Opens and maintains accounts offered by the financial institution.

Prepares and maintains account paperwork, including signature cards, check orders, transfers and service charges.

Performs Imaging duties.

Receives and processes checking and savings account deposits.

Accepts loan payments, completed check orders and safe deposit payments.

Cashes checks and processes checking and savings account withdrawals.

Refers bank products/services to new and existing customers.

Balances and reports teller transactions.

Participates in advertising and promotional activities.

Performs other duties as assigned.
