Payroll Manager

plumRHINO Consulting has a direct hire need for a Payroll Manager in Atlanta, GA.  The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor?s Degree and 5+ years experience managing a large operational group with 7+ years progressive experience supervising and managing payroll processing using an automated system in a large, complex, multi-state organization.  Prior PeopleSoft upgrade project expereience is prefered.  The Payroll Manager will be responsible for the management of payroll and HR data management for a multi-state, multi-company organization utilizing PeopleSoft HRMS.  This position will manage the activities of the payroll specialists to ensure timely and accurate delivery of pay to employees.  Provides direction, leadership, and motivation to the team to ensure all quality and performance goals are achieved.  Develop and monitor performance and quality metrics.  Ensure that payroll controls and procedures are effective, documented, understood and adhered to by specialists.  Serves as liaison with other departments and/or other areas of HR to troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues and changes.  Continually identify ways to improve processes leading to better control, quality, and productivity.  Market payroll services to employees and managers. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

 

A demonstrated knowledge of payroll tax and employment laws in a multi-state environment is required.  Expereince with PeopleSoft Payroll, core HR systems, and self service (preferably version 8.3 or above) as well as PeopleSoft Time and Labor and Manager Self Service is preferred.  Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) strongly preferred.
