 MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

This position involves providing a high level of member service to our membership by way of telephone, by performing the duties of teller, member services rep., and lending transactions.  Must be able to answer questions from members and provide information to the membership as requested over the phone.  Responsible for utilizing effective communication and sales skills, identify member needs, offer all types of credit union products and/or services which best fits the members? needs, and resolve problems and manage conflicts.  Responsible for opening accounts and preparing related documents.  Processes member loan requests including conducting loan interview, along with processing and scoring the application.  Responsible for the accuracy of loan information such as vehicle identification numbers, insurance carriers and disbursement and payment methods.  When unable to approve member loan requests, must effectively communicate reasons for denial and options or alternatives.  Opens, maintains, and closes trust accounts.  Corrects errors on members accounts.  Prepares documents to initiate transfer or rollover of IRA accounts.  Other related duties as assigned.

 QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent along with 6 months to 2 years of similar or related experience. Must possess a professional and pleasant demeanor by telephone. Must be computer literate in MS Office. Excellent listening and interpersonal skills needed to identify member needs, cross sell credit union products/services, and deal effectively with a diverse group of people.
