The Personal Banker is primarily responsible for direct selling of our consumer and small business products/services to existing and new customers.? This is accomplished through exhibiting integrity while upholding the banks highest service standards.

NOTE: This is a floating position that requires some travel to different branches in the Upper Valley Area.?

Job Responsibilities
This is a multi-incumbent position.? Assigned duties and percentage of time performing these duties may vary slightly depending upon utilization with the assigned market.

? Meets with prospects and customers through outbound calling efforts, branch referrals to specialist areas such as Investments, Private Client Group, Small Business, etc to discuss and sell banking products.
? Uses sales skills and tools to analyze and determine customer needs.? Recommends and sells appropriate solutions (consumer and business) both in person and on the telephone.
? Profiles customers using open-ended questions
? Maintains a working knowledge of the complete line of products and services offered; taking responsibility to keep up to date and request assistance for further development needs.
? Performs servicing duties: greets customers/prospects in the lobby and on the phone, researches customer inquiries, orders checks and/or debit cards, returns phone calls, accepts and forwards wires, and other customer originated servicing needs with the intent of enhancing customer retention and exploring additional sales opportunities.?
? Responsible for performing teller duties as needed
? Ensures all audit and security policies and procedures are followed in accordance with Bank policy and Federal regulations.

Required Skills:
Education and Related Experience
? High School Diploma
? 1+ year (s) experience in a sales and/or customer service environment

Skills and Abilities
? Competent in sales related skills and behaviors.
? Demonstrated sales skills associated with identifying customer needs and overcoming sales objections.
? Demonstrated ability to close sales and establish sales appointments over the phone.
? Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals
? Basic understanding of Accounting.
? Working PC skills to include related software products including Microsoft Office.
? Demonstrated interpersonal skills with customers, prospects and co-workers
? Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
? Ability to effectively manage time.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements
? Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines and sales requirements.
? Ability to operate a keyboard if required performing the essential job functions.
? Ability to read and interpret a document.
? Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.? If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence, omitting lifting as a physical requirement.
? Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
