Portfolio Manager 10133

Our client, locally operated, a Michigan-chartered capital stock savings bank is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join their wealth management department in their headquarters This bank is looking for a person with excellent Commercial Lending and or Commercial Portfolio Management experience.

 

The Portfolio Manager will assume a $20 million book and have the traditional responsibilities of a Portfolio Manager and spend approximately 10-20% of his/her time executing trades since they do not have a trading desk. Another portion of his/her time will be spent developing new business.  There is a good mix between selling stocks and bonds and mutual funds and institutional and retail accounts.

 

We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in portfolio management. Bachelor?s degree in accounting or finance is required. Ideal certifications would be CFA or MBA. Must be a proven portfolio manager with experience in client management. Must also have good business skills, customer relationship skills, and have a good knowledge of credit within a banking environment.
