We are looking for a bilingual Korean speaking Portfolio Servicing Associate to join our Business Banking Group. In this position you?ll be responsible for the effective servicing of a designated commercial portfolio in the Business Banking Center. This individual provides day to day support to the Relationship Officers and Team Leaders in insuring the customers are effectively serviced, their inquiries responded to and operational situations resolved promptly and efficiently. Given the amount of time the lending team is in the field, this individual is key to providing consistent quality service in accordance with bank goals to attain growth, reduce losses and increase profitability and customer satisfaction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Research, investigate and resolve customer discrepancies, complaints and payments. Accompany Officer on visit with clients to establish rapport and understand clients business and commercial relationship with the bank. Ensure customer's compliance with financial reporting and covenant requirements. Act as liaison with various units responsible for providing service to the commercial customer including but not limited to the processing of loans, payments, financial analysis, statements, etc. Review and process documentation for loan agreements and borrowing arrangements. Assist the relationship officers in building effective relationships and trust with clients and/or potential clients by listening to and uncovering their needs and educating them about the bank products and services that are most appropriate for their situation. Understand and adhere to general bank regulatory procedures including BSA/AML as it pertains to "know your customer." Pro-actively seek information from clients and prospective clients to understand possible changing situations, needs and desired benefits, communicate information to relationship officer. Apply newly gained knowledge, skill or technique to current work and share successes with other team members. Keep updated on changes to banking environment, bank competition and customer's business environment. Insure respective databases are accurate and up to date for customer information. Compile data and generate management reports as needed. Responsible for managing the relationship with third party servicers. Manage the application of payments on the loan system to conform with the terms of the loan documents. Review documentation for renewals and restructures as approved by management. Arrange closings of renewals and restructures and book same on loan system. Coordinate with management and internal legal councsel to ensure that legal counsel is assigned to cases where representation is necessary.


Required Skills:
Ability to research and analyze financial statements. Understanding of commercial banking laws, bank products, services, policies and procedures as well as cost accounting, financial and statistical analysis, principles of commercial and consumer credit. Ability to use various interpersonal styles and communication methods, depending on customer and situation, to gain their acceptance of a product or service. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes. Computer literate; fluency in Microsoft Office programs, Excel analysis required, Bank operating systems/FISERV a plus. Effective customer service ability.< li>Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships and contacts with professional and business organizations and develop teamwork with co-workers on other related units. Strong problem-solving, negotiation & follow-up skills.
