Principal Architect– Enterprise Information Architecture

The Principal Architect– Information Architecture provides architectural vision and leadership through strategic and tactical enterprise information architecture planning, development, oversight, and evaluation.


Responsible for establishing and driving a process to detail out the enterprise?s information strategies, its extended information supply/value chain (how, what and where information is or can be leveraged), and their impact on applications and systems architecture.

 
Responsible for establishing the future and current state models of information architecture in terms of the extended information supply/value chain (how, what and where information is or can be leveraged), key information artifacts of business events, models and information flows.

 
Establishes logically consistent information management principles

 
Enables rapid business decision making and information sharing

 
Responsible for establishing strategies, principles, models, and standards across the dimensions of information management (acquisition, classification, storage/retrieval, distribution, backup/recovery, privacy and security, etc.), information analysis (synthesis, ?what-if? analysis, decision support, etc.), information modeling (taxonomy, topology, metadata management, etc.)  and information driven activities (Product, pricing, competition, HR, Financial, etc.).

 
Responsible for the architectural governance of multiple data management systems and projects, including those involving OLTP, OLAP, data warehousing, data marts, operational data stores, data ownership, ETL, Business Intelligence, and analytical processing.

 
Responsible for coordination, facilitation, and communication of all enterprise information architecture initiatives.

 
Assists other members of the WWT organization senior management team in executing information architecture strategies and principles within the tactical context. 

 
Influences implementation of the strategic business intent and strategic information needs through Enterprise Application Architecture, and Enterprise Systems Architecture.

 

 

The Principal Architect reports directly to the Chief Enterprise Architect and supervises the organization?s enterprise information architecture staff.

 

Skills and Credentials: 

 
Requires a Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field; Master?s or PhD is preferred.
At least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in Information Systems related fields. Experience in establishing an enterprise information architecture practice, especially in the financial industry (Cash management, Custody/Investor services, Trust and Agency Services, Credits, Deposits, Asset Management, Investments, Wealth Management, etc.) strongly preferred.

Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new information management, analysis and movement technologies.
