Product Development Specialist, Deposits

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Product Development Specialist is responsible for providing support to the Product Development Manager in developing long-term product plans for all share or loan products by focusing on members, competition, profitability, product life cycle, and service considerations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitors all aspects of a product lifecycle, including long- and short-term development and marketing; Monitors industry trends and stays abreast of trends in the marketplace to ensure the product?s competitive position; Interfaces with internal departments such as IT, Lending, Retail Services and Operations to determine the product?s future direction; Participates in establishing annual goals and objectives for each product and develops management reports to track progress on a monthly basis; Assists the Product Development Manager in developing long-term product plans for all share or loan products; Prepares analysis for marketing strategies and programs for a product or service; Evaluates product performance to help develop and update company goals and objectives; Provides advices on any relevant product concerns; Recommends changes to current product development procedures based on market research and new trends.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor?s Degree in related field; Four years experience in products and services development in a banking or financial institution; Knowledge of financial services industry, including industry leaders, the legislative environment, and understanding of bank or credit union product development opportunities; Knowledge of all credit union business products and services as it relates to all businesses and market segments; Strategic thinker and innovative; A wide degree of creativity and latitude; Strong excellent presentation skills; Strong communication skills both written and orally; Strong analytical and project management skills; Strong computer skills; Ability to work well across multiple departments.
