Programmer Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Programmer Analyst to join our team to assist analysts and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications.

This position will join our E-Commerce team and assist analysts and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications. The position will prepare and document program requirements and specifications as well as research and document requirements of program users. The role will write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications, plus run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs. Development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines will also be managed.

Programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or appearance of company Web site and/or related Web applications as necessary will be written and maintained. The individual will keep informed about emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.

The Programmer Analyst will also be called upon to recommend, schedule and perform software improvements and upgrades and act as a liaison with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in problem resolution.

Additional requirements include the ability to stand, stoop, walk, and/or climb for extended periods as required, the ability to be on-call 24 hours a days, 7 days a week to respond to emergency situations outside of regular business hours, and the possession of a valid California driver?s license and acceptable driving record.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of related experience, with a minimum of two years of direct VB.NET and /or C#.net combined with ASP.NET development.  Applicant must have Web development experience with data driven websites, HTML, ASP, ASP.NET and related software development platforms such as Dreamweaver, Visual Studio.NET 2003/2005, MS SQL Query Analyzer.  A strong knowledge of T-SQL and the ability to create and use MS SQL Stored Procedures is also required.  Applicants should be prepared to discuss examples of previous Web related projects and/or Applications created.  The candidate should have experience equivalent to a Bachelor?s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
