The successful candidate will participate in providing strategic direction to Cash management on improving custody controls in all five currency and coin operations with established guidelines, efficiency and effectiveness gains, and follow-up on past Audit comments to ensure actions have been taken.
In addition, they will:
Communicate any trends to management.
Serve as a liaison and provide support to the District prior to and during internal and external operations audits.
Review proposals, waiver and/or interpretation requests and provide opinions in a timely manner.
Participate on and provide consultant services to District and System workgroups and projects.
Prepare Cash offices for upcoming audits by reviewing the operation and any required documentation, providing management with a report or readiness assessment.
Ensure effective training tools are available to local operations management on custody control procedures and other forms of risk management.
Participate in building and maintaining a cohesive team to ensure departmental objectives are achieved.
Design, implement, and facilitate training programs for operation staff and management.
Essential Skills
Position Requirements
Must have Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
Must have 2 to 5 years experience in a high-volume environment, preferably in currency and coin processing.
Experience in a production environment desired.
Must have demonstrated effective performance in numerous competencies including Conceptual Thinking, Customer Service Orientation, Information Seeking, and Initiative.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of senior management, managers, or external agencies.
Must have the ability to design training modules and facilitate training programs.
