We are currently seeking a Public Funds Business Development Officer - Palm Beach
Job Summary:Identify and develop relationships with key governmental officials and government professional organizations that can assist in obtaining profitable local government business.
Develop, implement, and monitor key risk controls for SOX 404 related testing and Public Fund relationships. Ensure the appropriate coding and classification of Public Fund relationships to ensure proper collateral requirements are met for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the State of Florida statute 280 requirements.
Formulate strategies and tactics for achieving new deposit and sales goals, and retaining current revenues and clients.
Respond to and present all Requests for proposals to Government Banking prospects.REQUIREMENTSMinimum 5-10 years sales experience in cash management services or financial products
3-5 years calling and sales experience required.
Thorough knowledge of local government policies, procedures and issues.
Extensive knowledge of the compliance requirements of both HUD and the State of Florida statute 280 requirements for Public Fund relationships.
A willingness to explore and initiate new methods, ideas, procedures, etc. that will position BankAtlantic above its competitors.
Thorough knowledge of all banking products and services. Excellent communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work effectively with peers and customers.
