Relationship Manager - Sales

Product Specialist-HELOC

Summary of the job:
Responsible for selling IndyMac products and programs directly to mortgage brokers, bankers, and small community financial institutions. Manages portfolio of clients. Develops relationships with new clients and works to increase production from existing clientele.

1. Manages and maintains current business relationships and seek new accounts through sales, marketing, and referrals.
Determines which customers will mutually benefit from engagement.
Determines which marketing pieces and activities to use to develop (private label or templates) potential clients.

2. Sells IndyMac products and programs directly to mortgage brokers, bankers, and small community financial institutions.
Determines proper products and services to offer customer.

3. Contacts customers to introduce products and features and provides on-going support and assistance.
Determines which customers are active and how to increase market share through appropriate mix of products and clientele.

4. Solicits business from customers identified as having the highest potential.
Determine which customers are selling our core products and ensure achievement in the market share.

5. Conducts customer-training sessions to increase customer knowledge of products and programs and submission procedures. Schedules Seller Implementation Group (SIG) training and customer visits.

6. Originates new customer relationships with mortgage customers who are not currently signed up with IndyMac Bank. Engages with New Account Development to capture customer and identify those within 100 miles.

7. Performs the foregoing duties and provides a level of assistance to applicants/borrowers that is consistent and made without regard to their race, age, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, disability, receipt of public assistance or other basis prohibited by law.


Requirements:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

REQUIRED
High School Diploma/GED
Some experience in sales or related area.

PREFERRED
3-5 or more years in mortgage origination or mortgage brokerage.
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Knowledge of Mortgage Banking, Customer Service, Loan Processing, and Underwriting preferred.
Ability to generate and follow up on leads and convert into closed sales.
Ability to develop and maintain valuable business relationships.
Strong oral and written communication abilities.
Excellent Customer Service skills.
