Risk Analyst/Modeler
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and analyze default and loss models for the bank's commercial portfolios. These portfolios cover a wide range of products and include commercial and industrial exposures, commercial leases, and commercial real estate exposures. Develop default and loss models using various data sources from within and outside the Bank. Highly interactive position, allowing direct involvement with other professionals in credit risk management, technology and the business lines. Required to know and use guidance prescribed by banking regulators concerning Basel II credit risk measurement, estimation and reporting.
Requirements:
BS/BA in statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, business, information systems or related field and 3+ years related experience (MBA/MS with 2+ years experience also acceptable. Underwriting commercial lending products a strong plus. Background in analysis or statistics, familiarity with spreadsheet, word processing and database applications a must. Prior use of query and/or analysis tools such as SAS a strong plus. Deep technical skills and understanding of modeling methodologies required. Strong written and verbal communication skills a must. Must have ability and desire to work in a team-oriented environment, have multitasking capabilities and drive to meet continual new challenges.
