SMS Software Engineer

We are currently assisting a client in Tampa, FL with need for a Contract, SMS Software Engineer. The client is a global financial services firm with assets of $1.3 Trillion and operations in more than 50 countries. The firm is a leader in investment banking, financial services for consumers, small business and commercial banking, and more. This company serves millions of consumers in the United States and many of the worlds most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients.

Some of the responsibilities will include:

++Perform all Application Deployment tasks using the SMS 2003 infrastructure.
++Deploy Core and LOB products out to designated users following SMS corporate deployment standards
++Create SMS collections, individual and bundle packages, product associations and provide confirmation of product delivery.
++Be able to use SMS Reporting feature to generate Microsoft provided, and create adhoc, deployment reports.
++Monitor and validate package replication process across the SMS infrastructure.
++Understand how to diagnose, and correct, SMS package, collection and advertisement problems issues.
++Understand/Adhere to all Corporate Change Control processes and procedures.

++Responsible for the orderly movement of software from development through user acceptance testing into production.
++Responsible for application packaging in the NT environment to enhance the integrity of the software promotion process.




Requirements:
Technical Skills required:
++Intermediate, or Expert Level, knowledge of Microsoft SMS 2003
++Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
++Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft DNS, WINS Infrastructures
++Intermediate, or Expert Level, knowledge of SMS WBEM
++Intermediate knowledge of SMS Advance Security model
++Intermediate, or Expert Level, knowledge of SMS Deployment methodologies
++Intermediate, or Expert Level, knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000, XP
++Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Administration / Troubleshooting skills
