Security Assessor

General Job Description (specifics):

Individual will participate in planning and executing assessments of the

information security control environment in place at several companies

with which my client does business. Individual must have strong

technical knowledge of a wide range of information security controls and

the processes used for evaluating their design and effectiveness.

This candidate will be doing some travel.



 

Business Need driving this open position: This group does security assessments for 11,000 suppliers/vendors that work with my client. They assess the risk of the company since they will be dealing with sensitive customer information. Most of assessments are done online but some companies require a 5 day onsite assessment. They are currently working on a small number of suppliers and need to expand to cover more of the 11,000 suppliers.



 

Must Have Skill sets and yrs of experience: CISSP, CISA, or similar certification is required (Since these certifications are becoming more common, he is looking for somebody with experience using the certification). Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
