Senior Analyst - Mortgage/Structures Finance - JPDDG

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Senior Analyst is responsible for the analytical and project management support in planning, structuring, and executing loan trades, financing, facilities, and securitization.  The position will work and support closely with the deal manager in executing and closing transactions.
They will prepare analysis for Secondary Market Participants, Underwriters, Rating agencies and Credit Enhancers.  They will assist in managing pre and post closing financial and operational analysis including analyzing and recommending deal structures, preparing all pre-deal financial analysis, assisting in negotiations with parties in regards to transactions, managing all aspects of pre-closing audits.  They will also interpret legal documentation to ensure that servicing compliance requirements can be met and recommend amendments to transaction documents when necessary.  They will assure that all loans scheduled to be purchased and sold meet the appropriate reps and warranties and are appropriately disclosed in the prospectus and sales agreements.  They will work with the trading assistant to prepare all closing items including funding memos, trust receipts, and trade confirms.  They will work with the capital markets and corporate finance group to ensure that all accounting is accurately recorded and documented and that all servicing policies and procedures comply with legal documentation.  They will evaluate servicing requirements during negotiations of the transaction with the Securitization Investor Reporting Group and propose operational policies and procedures.  They will develop internal and external investor reports, monitor the performance of closed transactions to ensure that the bank is in compliance with each transaction's legal documentation.  They will develop, maintain, and leverage strong working relationships with external parties such as servicer, custodian and trustee.  They will support transaction manager by demonstrating expertise on a specific product and business.  They provide product development support as well as create a competitive advantage through collection and analysis of market intelligence focused on specific products, issuers, structures, or regulatory issues.

Qualifications:

- B.S. Finance, Accounting
- MBA preferred
- 5-7 yrs previous experience in financial analysis-structured finance
- Strong ability to analyze and understand diverse and complex financial transactions is essential.
- Strong negotiation skills

- Strong ability to interface effectively with internal and external professionals and senior management.
