Senior Developer
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include:
- implement enhancements and bug fixes on the FIMM Calypso platform
- Provide timely resolution of highly technical user issues working directly with the Operations team.
- Lead, design and implement day-2 development projects for ITEC FIMM.
- Helping the Design and implementation of a business dashboard to monitor the back-office operations
- Serve as a back-up in production support. S/He will support the Operation business, address miscellaneous technical and functional issues.
- Help mentor and train junior developers (VIE)
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required/Must have:
- JAVA (design patterns, excellent coding standards required)
- J2EE (EJB, JSP etc)
- Calypso platform: knowledge of API, architecture, maintenance, support
- SYBASE (SQL, basic administration skills, troubleshooting)
- UNIX
- Shell/PERL scripting
- Web development including (HTML, JavaScript etc)
Desired/Plus:
- knowledge of application servers (IBM Websphere, BEA Weblogic ?)
- CVS
- Eclipse
- C++
BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE
Required/Must have:
- Fixed Income (Bonds mathematics, Repo, MBS etc)
- Excel/VBA skills
Desired/Plus:
- Futures, options, swaps and derivatives products
COMPETENCIES
Required/Must have:
- Be self motivated, dynamic and result oriented
- must be a team player
- Very good communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability and willingness to understand and learn a complex system.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments and projects.
Desired/Plus:
PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE
Required/Must have:
- Full life cycle experience in financial software development (requirements gathering, design, implementation and release)
- JAVA development experience ~ 5 years
- J2EE experience - application servers
- Development on Calypso system ~ 2years
