Senior Investment Manager Relationship Representative

Job Summary: Responsible for coordinating the investment manager relationship for complex institutional trust and custody client relationships. Responsible for overseeing trade and fx activity in international portfolios.  Communicates regularly with investment managers and internal partners to ensure that products and services are meeting their needs, expectations, and specifications.  Utilizes knowledge of international markets and Northern to provide guidance on complex issues.  Acts as a technical resource for the Investment Manager Relationship Rep.  Utilizes knowledge of organization to provide guidance on more complex issues, and monitors the investment managers relationship with the bank

 

Major Duties:
Coordinates the investment manager relationship. 
Oversees trade, foreign exchange and call account activity for client accounts, ensuring that activity is posted accurately and timely. 
Acts in a leadership role and as a technical resource or expert for the IMLG Rep.  Coordinates and provides guidance to IMLG Rep, utilizing their knowledge of the organization and understanding of complex issues.  Ensures that IMLG Reps are educated .
Receives inquiries from investment managers and partners, oversees transaction processing, handles inquiry resolution, obtains appropriate documentation and ensures accurate and timely follow up with investment managers and partners.
Anticipates and identifies investment manager needs for service requests.  Integrates knowledge of organization to service investment managers. 
Communicates daily or when required with investment managers regarding client account activity, informing managers of exceptions. 
Identifies service efficiency enhancements, process improvements, and service delivery using creative and proactive measures. 
Communicates regularly with investment managers to ensure that products and services are meeting their needs, expectations, and specifications. 
Researches and resolves complex exceptions and coordinates corrective entries and preventive processes.

 

Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of the securities industry, usually acquired through experience is required to monitor trade and foreign exchange activity and communicate effectively with investment managers.
Strong analytical skills are required to research and resolve inquiries/issues.
Organizational skills are required to manage conflicting priorities and multitask functions in a fast-paced team environment.
Negotiation/oral communication skills are required to communicate the flow of information back and forth with the investment managers

 

Experience Required:  1-3 years of experience as an IMLG Rep.  If no experience as an IMLG Rep, then B.A. degree, 7-10 years of experience in financial services field (preferably in securities industry), plus client servicing experience.
