Job Description:
Discover Financial Services, a Morgan Stanley company, currently has a Management opening in their Community, Lending and Investments department. This is an entrepreneurial position where the candidate will have the ability to successfully manage the bank's Community Development and Low Income Housing Tax Credit Portfolio activities in order to mitigate risk and maximize return. Additional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to providing support to the Sr. Manager, Mortgages and Investments to assist in the achievement of the Bank?s lending and investment initiatives.
SKILLS
Required:
Commercial loan underwriting and/or tax credit management experience. Strong leadership, as well as analytical skills, with proven decision making abilities.
Desired:
Knowledge of lending laws and regulations. Experience in underwriting complex debt and equity loans and investments; creation and presentation of complex financial analysis. Thorough understanding of Tax Credit Investments and Community Development. Excellent organizational skills, task management, analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Proficient MS office computer skills (word, excel, powerpoint)
