Senior Real Estate Lender

Job Summary: Responsible for developing relationships with commercial customers to include all business and personal needs.  Will spend 80% of time focused on commercial real estate activities.

 

Primary Duties:

? Interviews applicants and examines, evaluates and authorizes or recommends approval of customer applications for primary commercial real estate loans and potential other lending products.

? Corresponds with or interviews applicant or real estate creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.

? Approves commercial real estate loans and other commercial products within specified limits.

? Ensures loan documents are complete and accurate according to policy.

? Develops relationships with customers and prospects for all bank products and services.

? On going portfolio management (manage and grow within Book of Business).

 

Secondary Duties:

 Works with other areas of the bank to refer business (i.e. insurance, brokerage, trust, etc.).

 

Required Qualifications:

? Excellent sales/persuasions skills.  Proven sales and presentation ability.

? Strong communication skills, written and verbal.

? Experience with outside calling efforts.

? Strong analytical skills.  Extensive experience in complex financial lending structures and making qualified recommendations.

? Time management/organizational skills.

? Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

? BA/BS in Finance, Business or related experience.

? 10+ years commercial lending experience.

? Ability to perform primary duties.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

? Experience selling other business services such as cash management.

Experience with, or exposure to, problem loan management
