Senior Regional Market Representative

JOB FUNCTION:
To coordinate in Louisiana and Mississippi the sales function of soliciting and selling to reputable and financially sound franchised auto dealers on the desirability of utilizing the Bank's indirect services, primarily in the area of retail business, wholesale credit lines and lease financing, (when available), as well as other bank services, (credit cards, business checking accounts, capital loans, trust accounts, etc.).

To coordinate and insure servicing of all existing dealer accounts in Louisiana and Mississippi in order to maintain a satisfactory, profitable, bank/dealer relationship and to assist all dealers in their sales/marketing planning, sales programs, etc.

To develop and coordinate marketing promotions yearly in all dealer areas which are profitable to the bank and advantageous to the dealerships.

To coordinate and insure a satisfactory, mutually beneficial relationship with Louisiana Auto Dealers Association, (L.A.D.A.), and Mississippi Auto Dealers Association, (M.A.D.A.). To insure that all conventions are handled and coordinated properly, and that our L.A.D.A. sponsored Merchant Account Program for Louisiana dealers is monitored, solicited and reported to L.A.D.A. on a monthly basis.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
? Prepares yearly reviews and recommends promotions, separations, and salary adjustments for subordinates.
? Interviews job applicants when needed and recommends them for hire.
? Trains, counsels and disciplines subordinates on job performance.
? Controls work flow to accomplish assigned tasks.

REGULAR DUTIES:
? Monitors weekly performance of both Marketing Managers and reports results on a weekly basis to recap retail and merchant account penetration.
? Monitors wholesale checks to insure they are completed when required on a timely basis.
? Resolves dealer complaints regarding services, credit judgments, collection follow-up, insurance cancellations, and the like.
? Insures that "Dealer Surveys" are sent out to dealer base at least twice yearly and results analyzed to determine problem areas for correction.
? Maintain an understanding and sensitivity to factors influencing dealer business and viability, i.e., local economic conditions, demographics of dealer customers, dealer service, competitiveness, quality of dealer products, dealer business methods/practices, etc.
? Maintain an understanding and sensitivity to competitor rates, maturities, advances and general strengths/weaknesses.? Insures that rate surveys are done as required on a timely basis.
? Plan/schedule initial and follow-up dealer sales calls to maximize productivity against volume and product objectives.
? Monitors dealer relationships whom we are not getting business from to determine solutions and solve problems.? Terminate unsatisfactory dealer relationships.
? Participate and serve as bank representative at trade shows and dealer association meetings as required.? Plan and monitor dealer social functions in all dealer regions.
? Trains dealer personnel in the preparation of contracts, application submittal and in effective sales promotion.
? Assists department managers in special projects or tasks as required.? Assist credit department and buyers when needed.
? Ensures that subordinates participate in bank training programs when required or offered.
? To develop and define feasibility of entering new market places with retail programs.
? Determine and cross-sell existing dealer base on commercial bank services and refer to appropriate commercial loan officer for follow-up.
? Insure that all existing dealer accounts are contacted regularly to insure retail business volume and quality service.
? Give input and develop new programs to continued development of division business strategy.
? Organize and participate in United Way Fund Drives and Community Fund for the Arts campaign each year.

PERIODIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily
? Supervises and monitors itinerary of dealer visits and calls.
? Monitors follow-up on unsolved dealer problems in order to resolve them on a timely basis.
? Check in with office when out in field at least every (3) hours.

Weekly
? Determine new dealers that need to be contacted in each region during the week.
? Insure that weekly sales recap is completed by- each Regional Manager listing new dealers contacted and new dealers signed up to do business, also list existing dealers contacted during week, lunch and dinner visits.
? Insure that L.A.D.A. Merchant Account recap is turned in each week and results monitored.
? Advise Commercial Manager of potential dealer wholesale/commercial possibilities or inquires.
? Advise Department Manager of any dealer problems which have not been resolved.

Monthly
? Compile competitor pricing surveys on a regional basis and recommend pricing changes where warranted.
? Prepare expense reports and submit for approval.
? Insure that L.A.D.A. Merchant Account recap is turned in each week and results monitored.
? Monitors and insures that all wholesale checks assigned to sales area are completed on a timely basis.
? Set up monthly sales meeting with commercial area to discuss and determine what has happened during the month on a retail and commercial basis.
? Prepare monthly report to Louisiana Auto Dealers Association, (L.A.D.A.) to advise of sponsored Merchant account progress with dealers.
? Determine applicable dealer social functions in all regions and insure that dates are confirmed.

Yearly
? Assist and participate in development of regional volume forecasts.
? Reviews entire Marketing/Sales program with Dealer Services Department Manager and Division Manager.
? Assists in preparing and forecasting sales budget for the year.

Required Skills:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
? Degree in business administration or the equivalent in experience.
? Minimum of 10 years financial or banking experience.
? Experience in Indirect Credit and Collection activities or related sales background.

REQUIRED SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
Thorough understanding of PC based word processing and spreadsheet software.
Understanding of PC/CRT applications.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

? Detail Oriented.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

? Must have the ability to resolve complaints to the satisfaction of all concerned and have a basic understanding of dealer financial statements.
? Must have sufficient product knowledge of all Bank services.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
? Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
? Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform the essential job functions.
? Ability to read and interpret a document.
? Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.? If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence, omitting lifting as a physical requirement.
