Sr. Leasing Marketing Representative

This position may be located in either New Orleans or Baton Rouge.

JOB FUNCTION:
Works with relationship managers throughout the bank to sell leasing products and services to clients. This position is the most senior level for a leasing specialist focused on supporting relationship managers in the development of service relationships with commercial clients. Provides the highest level of technical expertise and support to commercial, small business and community bankers in pricing and closing leasing transactions, and assisting with customer calling and proposal letters.? Works independently and may supervise administrative staff and/or other officers and assist in managing their performance to goals.? Provides input into the overall goals, objectives and budgets for leasing products.

REGULAR DUTIES:
DUTIES OF ALL CALLING OFFICERS
? Develops and maintains the company's relationships with contacts/customers to maintain and expand business.
? Supports relationship managers in calling on potential client companies in order to generate high quality new loan and deposit business to achieve or exceed specific production goals.
? Meets with customers through personal calling efforts, branch referrals and other contacts to discuss business needs and recommend ways in which the bank can serve their needs.
? Maintains up-to-date knowledge of competitor?s products and pricing in the market served.
? Plan the upcoming year's growth through the development of a business plan in alignment with departmental budget and consistent with overall Bank asset/liability management objectives.

DUTIES SPECIFIC TO LEASING:
? Sells leasing products to corporate customers and prospects.? And assists other less senior employees in their sales efforts.

1. Assist relationship managers in pricing lease transactions, assist with proposal letters and closing lease transactions.
2. Completes calls on existing customers and prospects in order to develop new leasing business.
3. Analyzes the cash position/flow and proposes appropriate services.? Prepares and completes sales presentation.
4. Prepares agreements, implementation documentation and procedures in order to establish new customers on the system.
5. Performs timely follow-up concerning new business to ensure customer is satisfied and/or carefully understands the mechanics of the service.
6. Meets with Commercial and Retail Account Officers to review their accounts and identify prospective customers.
7. Working with Marketing, reviews market research data to build prospect lists within industry types or geographic locations.
8. Actively communicates and coordinates sales strategy with Senior and Executive Management within defined territory.

? Resolves operational problems reported by customers in a timely manner (within 24 hours).
? Assists Commercial and Retail Account Officers in understanding leasing product risk and ensuring the bank's credit policies are applied throughout the sales cycle..
? Ensures that Commercial and Retail Account Officers and other bank personnel, as appropriate, are aware of the company's leasing services by developing and conducting internal training programs.
? Assists in the design of leasing services by providing data from the market on strengths and weaknesses of existing services and new product needs not currently met.
? Assists the department manager in developing a sales strategy and in setting sales objectives.
? Maintains an awareness of trends and new developments in the field through attendance at trade shows and related seminars.? Participates as speaker at conferences/trade shows and prepares articles for publication in trade journals to ensure name recognition for the bank.
? Provides monthly activity reports to track sales and revenue growth by market segment.
? Interfaces with the leasing outsourcing service and various internal departments relating to documentary, credit needs and reporting requirements.
? Prepares purchase orders to acquire leased equipment including interaction with third party vendors and customers.
? Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures affecting the day-to-day operations.
? Works closely with the Loan Administration to facilitate closings and provide support to lease servicing of the lease portfolio.
? May be responsible for some supervision of entry level administrative personnel as the area expands.
? Assists with problem resolution, research, support and other needs as required.
? Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
This position may be located in either New Orleans or Baton Rouge.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
? College degree required.
? 8+ years of financial services experience with at least 5 in sales.
? 5+ year(s) exposure to a loan environment.
? 2+ years leadership/supervisory experience.
? Bank operations experience beneficial.
? Personal computer communications knowledge preferred

REQUIRED SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
? Thorough understanding of PC based word processing and spreadsheet software.
? Comprehensive knowledge of leasing products and bank operations.
? Working knowledge of loan packaging system (processing, closing, etc.).
? Knowledge of Commercial Banking Operations and thorough knowledge of the bank?s overall corporate structure.
? Basic knowledge of documentation, collateral/equipment and accounting.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
? Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
? Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform the essential job functions.
? Ability to read and interpret a document.
? Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.? If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence, omitting lifting as a physical requirement.
